Travelling in America

The world is small, and more the same than different. However, there are some things that are useful to have from the get-go. Take a look here for some of our must-haves when we travel.

Terra Peak Backpack

Bus, train, boat, plank, prop plane, camel? So many ways to travel and so many ways a traditional suitcase won't work. A pack keeps the stuff in one place; is the the right size for carry on; and works well as a pillow or seat for those unscheduled layovers in spots with no lounges.

Dive Bag

Bought one right after a three hour dingy ride in a monsoon storm. The 5 liter will hold a full size camera and lens. A 10 liter will have room for a the camera extra lenses and other essentials.  Wasn't sure how well it worked until I along with the bag,  two cameras, and a phone went into the Mekong River.

Bag Liner

Sometimes there is a choice where to sleep and sometimes the choice is not great. Any questions about he quality of bedding are greatly reduced when using a sleep sheet.

Adapter

When space counts one is the best amount. This universal adapter has greatly reduced the tech extras I carry. This along with one good travel extension cord is all that is needed. Mine is obnoxious blue which helps me not forget it in a wall.

Photo Mini Light

Dark streets, dark corridors, dark doorways. Much of the world does not subscribe to the same use of lighting or litigation as the west. It's a tiny, powerful light that will be a great travel companion.
